Feel the Atlas Orthogonal Difference

We’re not your typical “pop and crack” chiropractors. We’ve seen the difference precision care makes in our clients’ lives. We’re committed to providing the best care possible, tailored specifically to you.

What Is Atlas Orthogonal?

The Basics

Your Atlas is the first vertebrae in your spine (also known as C1).

When your Atlas is Orthogonal, its in proper alignment with your head and spine.

To understand what makes Atlas Orthogonal different, we need to understand a few things about how our bodies work.

The Central Nervous System is the main communication highway in your body. Nerves from your muscles and organs connect to your spine and send and receive signals from there. Because of this, any interference in your CNS can disrupt signals (and function) throughout your entire body.

Your Spine protects and supports your Central Nervous System. When your spine is aligned (or ‘orthogonal’), messages from all over your body can travel freely. This means that when you have interference in your spine, you’ll have interference in your Central Nervous System and therefore across your whole body. This interference can lead to impaired healing, decreased organ function, increased risk of injury and more. In our patients, we’ve seen this look like anything from vertigo to migraines, to back pain, to frequent ear infections, autoimmune reactions, and much more.

Chiropractic care seeks to remove these ‘road blocks’ that prevent signals from traveling properly throughout your body.

Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic is even more specific. We understand that if there’s a ‘road block’ at the top of the road (or spine), signals throughout the rest of the spine will be disrupted as well.

Gentle

We frequently treat patients who report experiences visiting other chiropractors who cracked their necks only to leave feeling worse than when they arrived. This approach is dangerous and unspecific.

While other chiropractic methods often crack and pop (or “pop and pray”), we understand the delicate nature of your body’s structure and alignment. For that reason, we make measured and specific adjustments that are tailored to your body at every visit.

Start at the Root

Someone experiencing low back pain may expect their chiropractor to adjust their lower back to fix the problem, however, this approach is incomplete. When there’s a ‘road block’ at the top of the road (or spine), signals will be affected all the way down your spine. Often when your spine is out of alignment near the top, the lower half of your body will compensate. This leads to uneven hips, leg lengths, back pain and effects throughout the rest of your body. If this patients doctor adjusts only their lower back, the patients problems are very likely going to return and continue.

We focus first on the Atlas at the top of your spine and work our way down making sure everything works along the way. This means your results are more thorough, long-lasting and effective.
