Therapy For Foot Pain

Planter Fasciitis is painful and unfortunately, it’s much more common that you think.

Plantar Fasciitis is an injury to the foot, which occurs from the stretching and/or partial rapture of the firm band of connective tissue on the sole of the foot.  Without the proper support of the muscles in the foot, the arches of the foot gradually weaken and stretch, and put more strain on the plantar fascia.

Heel and arch pain are the common complaints associated with plantar fasciitis. It is caused by a variety of factors, including:

·         Repetitive shock caused by heal strike from your gait or walking pattern

·         Long periods of foot pronation or unsupported flat foot or foot rolling inward

·         Hard landing on the sole of the foot

AMIT (Advanced Muscle Integration Therapy) is a very effective treatment for plantar fasciitis, because it focuses on strengthening muscles that are “turned off” and not supporting the foot properly.

AMIT is an advanced evaluation and treatment method that focuses on more than 600 muscles and how they are functioning in the body.   AMIT treatment helps to restore proper functioning to inhibited, non-performing muscles that have become strained, injured or damaged.    It is an effective therapy for sports injuries, acute and chronic pain, and troublesome orthopedic conditions.

AMIT starts with an initial examination to identify inhibited muscles.   A typical treatment session targets eight separate reflex centers in the body and three spinal segments that are adjusted to re-activate proper neurological function for the affected muscle. When reactivated, the muscles are switched on and function correctly.  Strengthening is then possible.

The reason AMIT is so effective is because the primary cause of joint and muscle pain comes from muscles that have been injured in some way.  When a muscle is injured, the nerve centers where the muscle attaches to the bone inhibit the muscle to protect it from major damage. Other muscles then adapt to take over for the loss of muscle function.  Over time, chronic pain occurs and pain is the body’s communication system that indicates something may be wrong in the body.

The results of AMIT or Advanced Muscle Integration Therapy are immediately noticeable – including pain-free functioning and an awareness of improved alignment of the spine and body.  The focus is on correcting the root cause of muscle dysfunction rather than only treating the symptoms.

AMIT can definitely help people recover from Plantar Fasciitis.  It’s also proven effective at treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions including: patellar tendonitis and other knee problems, shin splints, bursitis, tendonitis, shoulder conditions including frozen shoulder syndrome, conditions of the spine including sciatica, headaches including migraines, sinus problems, concussions, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, reflux, ankle sprains, hip conditions, whiplash, systemic conditions, and other athletic injuries.
