Shin Splint Treatment with Advanced Muscle Integration Technique

Dr. Lavender is doing a pre-test on a patient that had been involved in a motor vehicle accident and experiencing hip and leg pain. Notice the weakness in the toes. When muscles are overloaded beyond their capability due to injury or lack of conditioning, the central nervous system acts much like a circuit breaker and will inhibit or "shut down" the muscle to protect it from more damage. This inhibition or "shut down" can also occur with muscles that are attached to swollen, inflamed or injured joints. This is not unusual in post surgical cases as well as from injuries.

Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT) is a systematic way to treat joint and muscle conditions that are experienced by professional athletes, the sports enthusiast, the casual exerciser and those that do repetitive activities. Patients come in after knee replacement surgery, still experiencing pain or limited range of motion after completing PT.  With AMIT, muscles that have been shut off and not functioning properly can be identified and treated. Treatment is quick, approximately 10 minutes per muscle and results verifiable. When muscles are re-integrated, swelling and pain is reduced or eliminated, range of motion improved and balance is restored.
