Having trouble with your workouts—or re-injuring your back or ankles? Dominic shares a little about his journey to find better health and better workouts in this video.

When muscles aren't working 100%, it can make workouts and sports performance less than optimal.  Even if you are not an athlete or a workout enthusiast, aberrant muscles can cause body pain and imbalances.

Dominic began working with Dr. Keith Lavender, D.C., a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonal upper cervical specialist and Certified Advanced Muscle Integration Technique practitioner just a short time ago. After a few adjustments to re-align the spine, Dominic began with Advanced Muscle Integration Technique or A.M.I.T. to test for muscle and muscle groups that were not working properly.

Muscles become aberrant or don’t function optimally when the muscle or tissue is overloaded from repetitive use, injuries, traumas or nutritional deficiencies. When one muscle or muscle group does not function well, other muscles are recruited to compensate. This can set the stage for fatigue, weakness, pain, imbalances and future injuries.  If addressed in the acute stages immediately after an injury, improvement is quick and dramatic.  However, when the compensatory process occurs gradually over years of activity and the cycle continues, it increases the risk of permanent joint and tissue damage.
